Damiano Buffa

Principal & Chief Financial Officer

Damiano is the Principal and Chief Financial Officer of Vanbarton Group where he is responsible for all corporate and investor accounting, reporting, finance, and treasury functions as well as the management of accounting personnel. Damiano joined Vanbarton from Blackstone, where he oversaw accounting, financial reporting, and investor reporting for the Blackstone Real Estate Debt Strategies group. He also led the corporate finance function for the firm’s international subsidiaries operating primarily in the European and Asia Pacific regions out of London. Prior to his tenure at Blackstone, Damiano worked in Corporate Finance and Leveraged Investments at Credit Suisse. He also worked in Public Accounting providing auditing, accounting, and consulting services, primarily to real estate investment companies. Damiano received a B.B.A. in Accounting from Hofstra University and is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of New York.
