David Zobel

Partner & Chief Investment Officer

David is Partner and Chief Investment Officer at Vanbarton Group, where he is responsible for developing investment strategies, overseeing the investment process, and contributing to the firm’s overall business strategy. Prior to joining Vanbarton in 2022, David was Executive Vice President, Head of Acquisitions at Paramount Group, where he was responsible for all acquisition and disposition related activities, including sourcing, underwriting, and structuring all debt and equity investments on behalf of the company and its funds. During his time at Paramount Group, David was instrumental in completing transactions in excess of $10 billion. He began his career in the Real Estate Finance and Securitization Group at Credit Suisse, where he specialized in high-yield distribution and was involved in the structuring, pricing, and sale of over $4 billion of subordinated commercial mortgage debt. David received a B.S. in Economics with a concentration in Finance from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
